I believe my post was the post where the Vet insisted on the canine influenza shot, if not I did post one also.

In my case I can speak as to why; my dog goes to day care twice a week and is very social, my Vet did not insist but strongly suggested it. When I originally contacted my Vet, she stated it was not required and only after she had advanced education about this shot and gave it to her dog did she started recommending it to specific patients.

I have had many people tell me it was not necessary and honestly it probably wasn't but I trust my Vet 100% and I take any and all recommendations from her very seriously. After researching it myself I decide to vaccinate Sophie Kate.

FYI, she didn't have any reaction to the shot(s) thank goodness.
