Oh, how horrible!
When I was a teenager, I had major surgery to remove a brain tumor. One night the night nurse had to re do the IV, but she did it totally wrong I guess she missed the vein and my whole hand swelled up. I only weighed 80 lbs at the time and my hand looked huge. My surgeon came in early in the morning and was livid to see my hand the way it was...he got someone else in immediately and had the other nurse watch to see how it's done correctly.
I'd say your nurse needs to re learn how to take blood.
