I took my dane in two weeks ago. My vet suggested the flu vax but did not require it. We are a non-vax family so this one was a no brainier. I'm glad we passed on it because Lucy had a severe reaction to her shots. She did not eat or drink for 4 days and had the worst diarrhea I have ever seen in animal or human.

Lucy is now only allowed to get the rabies vax...which is fine with me since she has had all puppy shots and two rounds of adult shots.

Piper will not get the flu vax and will only get the necessary adult vaxes to a point.

Of course, I have a more conservative view on vaxes so take my opinion as a crazy hippy lady.
