Another one of her habits is our morning routine. I put Brandi in her ex-pen when I go to work. Without fail every morning I have to chase her through a 3-sty townhome to catch her.

She such a little stinker....what she does is sit of the top stair and when she hears me coming she takes of running. You would think by now that I would put her in her ex-pen right after her morning potty while I get dressed but nooooo I rationalized that since I was away at work all day, I won't put her in her ex-pen until I am ready to leave.

My Maddie does the same thing! She is hardly ever crated. I have 2 girls at home, one that comes in around noon and the other after 3 from school and now with summer they are both home. But, if we do need to crate her on the weekend or because one of them will be gone longer than normal, look out!! ha ha She KNOWS when we want to put her in the crate and you can just forget about catching her. Even her favorite treat won't entice her to us. She will look at the treat and turn around and go the other way! And, it's not because she doesn't like the crate. Most nights she starts the night on the bed with me and then jumps off the bed to finish off the night in her crate. It is a larger wire sided crate with her bed and a few toys in it, so I know she doesn't mind it. And she is FAST!
