Thanks everyone. Yes, I have been keeping him seperate from the other dogs. And I think his dental infection might really be the cause of his situation. I talked to my vet here in DC, then called my regular vet back home for advise as well.

I haven't had this guy even a month yet. So unfortunatly, I haven't really bonded as much with him. (if you read my other posts you know I'm a mush-ball for Crickett). My real concern is both for my daughter and for other kids. But I think we have a solution.

My biological Mom has been wanting another little yorkie for some time. She and my handicapped sister are home all day, have a lot of experiance with all kinds of animals and basic pet health care. Their home is quiet and calm, and my sisters favorite thing to do is love a pet alllllllllllllll day long.

This is just what Bailey needs. As an added bonus, the cost of his dental surgery is more than half the cost it would be here, AND my home vet had the more advanced machine for anesthia so I wont be too worried about that. Woohoo!

So at the end of the day, Bailey will get the love and attention he needs (and surgery too). He can stay in the family. AND...I don't have to worry about liability!
