Megan, it sounds like he has become possessive over you and your family and is trying to assert his dominance on Susie.
When he does this tell him "no" or "no bite" and give him a time out and completely ignore him for a bit. He needs to learn that if he can't be nice he won't receive your attention and affection. He will learn quickly once he realizes that he has to behave to have your affection.
It's kinda like how puppies play with their litter mates. If a puppy gets too rough the other pup will yelp and won't play. They then learn that if they want to play with that puppy they have to be more gentle.
Also remember to take time several times of the day to give Susie your complete attention. He needs to learn that he isn't the center of the universe and he has to share you and your family with others. |
