Let me say again, I truly love and admire Ann. From what I know of her online, she is a terrific person, and I'm very greatful that she's here. I do not expect to agree with everything she does, and I don't expect to. That would be an impossible standard.
At the same time, I see some things here that truly bother me. When I started off here, sometimes I would see an argument go further than I thought it should or something, and thought, well, that's the moderation style, I can accept it. I now feel that there are some things that really don't seem right and so I've spoken up. If the mods and admin take my opinion into account, great. I would not expect that my voice thunders across YT, but if enough reasonable people start saying the same thing, maybe we can get a change.
I can also accept that maybe that won't happen, which is certainly YT's perogative. |
Reasonable people, now there's the rub, how do you define that? I really think the way to change Yorkietalk, is to start posting the way you wish others would. There's new threads every day, and we all have a chance to post in the style we like best. Set a example and tell others when you like their posts, it slow, but you know positive reinforcement does work.
