i wonder what is the equivalent for dogs. how do you give their digestive system a break?
I do agree the fruit or vegetable diets can be healthful, but part of it is that we are removing some foods that I think are bad for us. I don't think white flours and simple sugars are good for us, and can make us feel sluggish. I don't necessarily believe we should detox ourselves; a healthy liver should do that. I don't think we need to clean out our intestines or give them a rest. Do you "rest" you heart or lungs? Why rest the intestines? I think eating fiber is good for the intestines, and I'm a big believer in that, but I don't think you want to give your digestive system or your dogs digestive system a break. Just eat healthy every day, or as healthy as you can. Just like the old saying goes "A apple a day, keeps the doctor away," I think what it really means is a healthy poop a day, keeps the doctor away.
