Its not right but I think they were desperate.
They havn't told me this but I know his father has just died and they are really struggling for money so I am sure thats what happend.
My older dog has gone in the huff a bit.. but then she has been the only dog for a long time and is very spoilt.
At first she wouldnt even sit in the same room as the pup but now she does.
She is still very distant and jelous but she seems to be slowly coming round, hopefully it wont be too long until they are friends.
I think it will be easier for her once my pup is a bit older and can play with her properly so fingers crossed.

That's really to bad about the breeders.
But your focus now is your pup. I hope your older pup warms up to your new one soon. I bet you'll feel better once you have a happy little family again. My hope is that your older pup can be your little helper. When it comes to doggy manners, and bite inhibition, your older pup can be a big help. She can teach the little one using doggy language, the same way a mom could, and you could teach the little one too. Your little one will have two teachers.

That's assuming your older pup will be a willing participant.
