Kudos to your vet for not giving up.
A couple of months ago Lil Bit came into the room where I was watching TV - she is usually with Bruce who watches his programs in another room - she was "acting weird". I got up to check her and she just "went down", her back legs gave way. I went and told Bruce, he immediately scooped her up and took her to the emergency vet. By the time he got there, she couldn't stand at all, her front legs had given way. He called me from the vets to say they wanted to keep Lil Bit overnight and wanted her to see the neurologist. They also wanted a $965 deposit. So, he left her at the emergency vets and came home. He was close to tears, he said he didn't think Lil Bit was going to be OK.
About 1.1/2 hours later the vet called and said Lil Bit was fine. She was acting normal. The neurologist had looked at her and couldn't see anything wrong. They were stumped as to what caused her problem. Vet said we could pick her up right away as she would probably be more comfortable in her own home.
She has been fine ever since.
