I have never heard of using Olive oil to clean their ears, Sophie Kate does not have any problems with her ears thank goodness. I would search Yorkie Talk on cleaning ears and see what you find.
That is another thing I wanted to add, make sure if you have questions to use the search feature on Yorkie Talk - there are so many threads on subjects and I bet you would find your answer.
When I was a new Yorkie owner I used this site for a lot of my education on Yorkies. If you ask a question you almost always get an answers and sometimes more than one.
