Is that her in your Avatar? She is very cute but boy is she small (as I am sure you know).
The one thing I know is do not take her out in public around other dogs and it's probably a really good idea not to take her outside, I would start with pad trainings until she is a little older and has had all her required shots.
Also you want to make sure she continues to eat and drink on a regular schedule. When Sophie Kate was younger my vet recommended I get either Nutrical or Corn Syrup and keep it on hand, if she starts acting lethargic give her a tiny bit. I am sure one of our more experience Yorkie owners will advise you on the danger signs to watch for with your little girl.
Good luck. |
Hi thanks for the reply,
Yeah thats her in the pic, it was taken last week so she would have been around 6 weeks then.
All the pics of her on here were either taken last week or the week before when we were visiting her so she will be around 5/6 weeks on those pics, I will try and take some tonight so you can get an idea how she looks now but its not that much difference shes a bit bigger and fluffier.
I havn't had her outside and wasn't going to because I heard they can get bad things from the grass before they have there shots so yeh I'm training her on puppy pads at the mo and shes doing really well on them (I also have her in a crate at night so shes safe).
Thanks I will have a look for the syrup!
The only thing the vet did mention was her ears were a bit waxy, she told me to put a drop of olive oil in and massage them to work the wax out... what are your thoughts on this? I havn't done it just yet as I havn't had a chance to go to the shop for some I'm planning on doing it tomorrow if it's ok to do so.
Thanks again x
