Im so sorry, i know it hurts but we need to do the right thing for our buddies even if its not the right thing for us, I know the pain as I just put my little guy down a few weeks back he was sick and i couldnt fix him, I told him i loved him, that I would miss him he gave me a kiss and i said I was sorry i couldnt make him better and that I would see him agan one day. I dont cry cry much the big thing with me is if i cry its really really bad well i think about him and I cry for the first week I cried so much my face hurt. I have some good friends who loved my dog too,, we had a dinner in honor of my dog and we all told a story of fife we all cried and we all lauaghed, I wrote him a letter, I bought a nice box for him put all his pictures and his fav things in it, it made me feel better, I read about 10 books. I searched online for some support and found a few places the apbl.org has a chat room for people whos pet has died a few nights a week that helped me tons. I hope you know you are doing the best thing for your dog, and try to remember the happy times, I know at first it will be hard but try im sure like my fife your baby would not want you to be sad for long
