I've been considering getting another dog lately because I think it would be good for Sasha to have a companion. I made the mistake of not socializing her properly so she isn't sure about other dogs, but has definitely gotten a lot better than how she used to be. She plays with my neighbors dog all the time and has greeted some of the dogs in our neighborhood without any issues.
I'd want to rescue a dog rather than purchase straight from a breeder like I did with Sasha. I guess I'm just nervous how Sasha will react. I don't want her to think that I'm replacing her or trying to replace her. She's my baby (like we all say
). I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever been in a situation like this before and how did it end up?
I need some reassurance as to whether this is the right or wrong thing to do.
