I personally like the wire crates best for at home and a smaller, travel crate for in the car.

Lucy's wire crate has a soft pad that came with it . . another blanket in there she can curl up on . . and then we lay a blanket over part of the top so it's more like a den.

She doesn't spend much time in there though.
