 safe chew toys
Hi. I am new here and would love to know what you give your Yorkies to chew on. I have a 15 month old Yorkie (Annie) who has recently developed a strong chewing desire. ..last night she chewed the strap off my leather shoe and ate it. I have a small Kong that I stuff, a "bone" Kong that I stuff the ends and the rubbery, nibbed NylaBones which she loves. We also give her raw carrot pieces from time to time. Rawhide only lasts a short while as once it gets soft I take it from her so she doesn't get it stuck in her throat. My old Yorkie wasn't a chewer after she lost her puppy teeth, so I am at a loss as to safe things to give Annie. Also I don't want to make her fat with consumable chew foods. Thank you. |
