We picked out our Yorkie BUT..... Ok....After all the reading and searching and visiting breeders....we picked out our Yorkie. I was really paranoid because i am allergic to dogs. So far, I have been ok. My eyes get itchy sometimes, but I was in a house with over 20 dogs for 3 hours -- no wheezing or anything.
We found a breeder that has puppies ready for after the holidays. She is a small breeder. Very nice. We picked out the puppy that was less timid. He seems to be more outgoing and very cute. But they all are....The question that I have is the following:
While we picked out this dog and i am not changing my mind because the kids will be upset, his litter mate seems much more mellower. I am wondering if I am asking for trouble with a more outgoing dog. The Dog we chose refuses to go on his back, seems to be a barrel of energy and might be more demanding while the litter mate just hangs out, lets us rub his tummy and sleeps. Am I in for a harder time with the one we picked out? They are currently 6 weeks. We are taking "snickers" home at 12 weeks.
I wanted a less timid dog because I have children.
Thanks! We can't wait to get the pup. BTW--I just love reading this board. Everyone has be so helpful so far with my other questions. I sit on the bed at night and laugh hysterically at some of the entries! I learn a lot but it also scares me! |
