I am new myself - just started posting on this forum a few days ago.
I don't know that I have ever owned a yorkie - but I have Yorkies that own me LOL (jk)
Congratulations on your new Yorkie. Yorkies are such a joy! I got my first Yorkie back around 1985, and had her for 15.1/2 years before she went to Rainbow Bridge. I have two now, Lil Bit and Beamer.
I know what you mean about not leaving your baby at a kennel. I had to leave Beamer and Lil Bit at a kennel last October while my husband and I went on a 7 day cruise. I won't be leaving them there again. But we are booked on another cruise this October, so I am going to be looking for a different kennel. I hate the thought of kennelling them, but there isn't much choice.
