Bandit does it too. If he goes in the dirt he'll do it there, but in our "back yard" (we live in a town house so it's teeny) there's no dirty, so he does it when he comes inside, and when my mom is down visiting she thinks it's hysterical because it looks like he's wiping his feet when he comes inside haha
