It has a funny little yorkie on it LOL. There is also a smaller size 90 caps for $27.99, but the 180 cap is more economical in the long run. There is even DS (double strength) and I don't even use that one and Uni is doing just fine.

Uni is also around 5 lbs. She is hyper, and loves to play, and I allow her too, just monitor that it's not TOO much. Honestly, at gr1, you don't have to be *so* worried. Again Uni is gr3 and she stills had normal activity, just no crazy jumping.

As for the steps. Nancy1999 gave me some great tips. For example if she is on the sofa and someone rings the bell, she wants to jump off and bark at the door. Pick her back up on the sofa and tell her to go down the steps (with the aid of a treat if she needs the "hint") and praise her when she does. Do this every time she wants down for whatever reason. She will soon realize that it will be faster for her if she goes down the steps herself than jumping off and having you put her back up to use the steps. Hope that made sense. But just like any training, you have to do it *every* time until they get it and do it themselves.
Good training tips!

When I first got Kaji, the first thing I did was take him to the vet for a wellness check. My heart sank when the vet said he had LP. My jaw dropped when she said he has grade 3/4 in both knees (4 is the worse they can have). I took him to 2 other vets hoping for a different diagnosis and all three came back with the same diagnosis. My vet right away jumped into wanting to schedule surgery for him, but in almost a year that I've had him, he shows no signs of discomfort. He's very active too.
Take it a day at a time and see if your baby responds to the supplements. I have heard of people who had the surgery and then their baby had an injury and had LP again. Research it, of course, and decide what you think is right for your little one.
