I'm so sorry this happened to Betty Boop. Praying that is stays at grade 1 for her.
Can't offer any help and hoping I never have to experience this. But you explained it very well and now I understand it much better. Sounds, like on grade 2 surgery, success rate would be much higher, that's a plus.
I'm sure others with knowledge and first hand experience will be able to guide you better.
