I was a nurse in Germany, for over 20 years. I have experience in psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and orthopedics.
Then I came to Canada and being naive and knowing Canada needs nurses I thought there would be no problem. Ha, my certificates were not accepted and I was told to go to college for a "bridgeing program" up to 2 years and of course pay a lot of money.
Luckily I found a job in the mental health field as a community rehab worker. And best thing about it is 9-5, no weekends, no night shifts and only 3 miles from home.
