While I was waiting for the Yorkies’ ring time, I got to see the standard Poodles strut their stuff. Gemy, I thought of you and your BRTs when the Poodle owners/handlers were putting the final touches on their dogs’ coat, scissoring the locks to perfection.
That's one of the most nerve wrackng times for me. How much to fluff, what to leave as is. Final paw touch up. Do you need anti slip on paws or not? Unfortunately here in Canada - it seems like the exhibitors now are scissoring the beard. When I first learnt the grooming, it was never touch the beard. But looks and grooming style is ever evolving.
Now the red bow in yorkies seems to be de rigour. I heard before that it was orange. Who knows why the color changes, or why we all go with the red now. I'm thinking of doing Razz man next wkend in a different coloured bow
