you cannot judge a dogs temperature by touch alone. Dogs run at a higher temp then people. Normal temp is 101-102 so they will usually always feel warm to the touch. Ears can sometimes feel cooler to the touch because they are really think and less hairy then other parts of the body. Plus they are an extremity so they are the first body part that usually gets cold. Like people fingers, toes, and ears.
