| I hope you don't mind my jumping in (just tell me to start my own thread... ) - but I am also looking for joint supplements for Bridget since she was diagnosed with LP Grade 2-3. My vet sent home some Chondro-Flex II and told me to give her a quarter tablet a day. The ingredients in each tablet is: Glucosamine500mgSodium Chondroitin Sulfate400mgAscorbate (Manganese Ascorbate)66mgManganese10mgMSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) 99.9%)250mg Of course - she won't eat it....I've tried to crush it and mix it with her soft food - but she seems to know it's in there and won't eat it. I asked him for another recommendation and they told me Oseo Bi-flex (?). In my search for something that she will actually eat - I've read a lot of labels. Not all have everything that this one does in the same amounts. Does anyone know what is the most important part of this supplement.....I found Natures Receipe has a Joint and Hip treat http://naturesrecipe.com/recipe_detail.aspx?id=452 Glucosamine...450/mg and Chondroitin.....200/mg. that I did buy and she will eat (I've given her half a treat a day). I know there are a lot of things in there that she doesn't NEED - but I have to find something that I can actually get her to eat until I can find a pure supplement that she'll take. Any thought or suggestions are greatly appreciated???? |
