Some breeders breed off colors and claim that they are rare and special. Each breed has a standard that describes how a perfect example of the breed should look. While there are no "perfect" dogs, a breeder should try their best to breed for standard, however some breeders have found it much more profitable to breed for different colors. While there is nothing wrong with the off colors, and these dogs make suitable pets, they should be spayed and neutered and placed in pet homes. However, breeders have found they can make more money by breeding dogs who aren't standard, and selling to them to the uneducated public who crave for things that are "different. Please support breeders who aren't breeding for profit. Here's more information on the chocolate and the genes involved that produces that effect.
