9:30am Saturday. Talk to dr. This morning.....she's walking great. Has one problem to overcome......she keeps "regurgitating" (his words) and when liguid comes out of her nose, she panics. He says he cannot put the splint on her while doing this because she panics even more. He thinks it's because of several things: 1-she has been given so much medicine it is upsetting her tiny rummy. 2-he had to literally move her esophogus & larynix over to do surgery and that probably upset her entire GI track. 3- She is SO BUSY, wants to see and kiss everyone who comes in the room, wants to walk and be nosey all time,
therefore, no rest.
His conern is also that he can't put the splint on her (like she had before) because he dosent want to have her throat wrapped and held in that position while doing this regurgitating thing for fear of her choking. He said there is a slight chance she will have to go home without the splint and have to be crated all the time. He decided to just knock her out (I guess with pain meds) to force her to rest today. He is working on getting her GI system calmed down and will call us back later today. Please continue to pray for her. Her mobility again is better than ever and he is very pleased!
