Default Raisins are toxic to dogs!

It is true that it is the theobromide in chocolate that is bad for dogs. Dark chocolate and bakers chocolate have higher amounts than milk chocolate (about 8x), and white chocolate contains very little theobromide so not usually toxic.

As for the carob covered raisins - carob is ok for dogs but raisins are BAD -- they can cause kidney failure (so can grapes).
