I'm really sorry to hear about Ruby's cancer. The shock of hearing that does kind of shut the mind down temporarily.
One of my dogs was diagnosed with lymphoma and I took her for chemo, about once a month for about two years. I saw and met a lot of people with pets with cancer and the dogs with mast cell really did well and I can't tell you how many were cured. It was really wonderful. The chemo protocols they have for that really see to work well. I remember one Pug/Beagle cross that was saved. Please have hope that Ruby will recover and have a long life.
