My Fatso is really huge as well, he can run and jump and do things regular small kitty's can do. I recommend for you, since you know who the owner is, tell her one last time to keep her cat in her house or you'll call animal control. A stray cat situation can be treated just like a stray dog situation, they can be just as harmful to people and other animals that a dog can.
I hate the idea of a cat being put into a shelter, but the owner is too irresponsible to take care of her cat, maybe animal control can find a responsible person to care for it. She should have him inside already because of what happened to the other one.
That is my recommendation, if you can manage to trap him take him to a humane no kill shelter please. Kitty's need love too.
