Just got back from the vet. He diagnosed Oliver with kennel cough. I'm not sure how he got it since he doesn't go out.
Anyway, he said we caught it early so there shouldn't be any complications. We have antibiotics to give him for 2 weeks. As much as I don't like seeing Oliver suffer in any way, I'm glad it's not something more serious. We'll do our best to keep Oliver comfortable until he's better. We're going to pick up a humidifier for him, especially for at night when he's sleeping and seems to suffer most. I've read you can give your dog yogurt when they're taking antibiotics. Would this be a good idea? I know not to give him sweetened yogurt, but does anyone recommend a certain brand? And how much should I give him (he's 3 pounds)? Thanks for all the help!
