Default Enough!!!

I originally posted this thread a while back to get some information about the breeders from Posh Yorkies and Storybook Yorkies. Since then, this thread has turned from being an informative piece on breeders to just bashing and trash talking. I haven't had time to reply because my computer had been doing some downloads and typing from my iPod is very annoying when going to post a larger reply. For all the readers of this post, I apologize for allowing to get this out of hand. I am going to ask the moderator to close this thread.

I do not appreciate getting emails telling me that there is a reply to my post, and all it says is, "so and so said this," "so and so did this with my husband," etc. That's not what this forum is for. If you have something to say to someone, do so in a private message. The rest of us do not want to read your drama. This thread was started so that I, and anyone else looking for a puppy, could make an informed decision about the breeder. I know that as a breeder, you want to protect your reputation, but protect it by providing references to people who have purchased from you in the past, not by attacking people.

As for reviewers on here, we the readers, also have to take things with a grain of salt when reading them. Case in point: I read about a breeder a while back who had excellent reviews. I was going to purchase a puppy from her, but things didn't "feel" right. The puppy was going to be small, but she didn't bother asking any questions about me, if there were small children in the home, etc. That really turned me off from getting a puppy. When I told her that I wasn't 100% sure about getting the puppy, she stopped reply to my emails and never got back to me. Another pretty famous breeder that I also spoke with had pretty good reviews, but he turned out to be a complete jerk to me, lying about a puppy's age, and then saying that all the work he was doing to send me pictures, etc. better amount to me buying the puppy. So even with positive reviews, or negative, a breeder may turn out to be completely different.

It's like a great breeder on this forum once told me, "you shop for your breeder first, then your puppy." This is very true. I think it's important to get recommendations, etc. about a certain breeder, but also take them with a grain of salt. Research them and after you've done that, research that breeder some more. And if possible, meet the breeder in person and then decide.

All of this name calling does nothing to help people buy a puppy, so it's being closed. I don't think people want to come on here and read all of this. This is an informative site and not a soap opera. Thank you everyone and again, I apologize for having allowed this to get this far.
