As far as the nursing. I had that happen with cats once and the older one, who had been spayed actually began to give milk! She eventually weaned the previously weaned kitten, again. And they were bonded for life. They were siamese. The elder lived about 17yrs and the younger one starved herself to death 2 wks after the elder died. I have no advice on how to stop it....
