He showed me the yorkie's baby teeth which comes out after a yorkie is 6 months old, and said that those teeth shouldn't be rotting off if he was indeed a year and a few months old.
I am taking him back to the vet tomorrow to get his rotten teeth extracted and get a dental cleaning. Is there a way to find out how old my yorkie really is? I'm not sure if the adult teeth are rotten too but I'm scared. Are the baby teeth supposed fall off naturally past a certain age?
Thank you for your help. |
Andy had to have 19 baby teeth removed at the age of 6 1/2 months you can see pictures and reason in my albums . with two rows of teeth it is a breeding ground for bacteria . His breath was horrid. Hopefuly they can salvage some of your furbabys teeth .
Your Vet should be able to at least give you an approximate age .
Let us know how it went
