My yorkie's teeth are rotten but he's supposed to be only 1 year and a few months old. The doctor said that my yorkie is probably older than that. He showed me the yorkie's baby teeth which comes out after a yorkie is 6 months old, and said that those teeth shouldn't be rotting off if he was indeed a year and a few months old.

I am taking him back to the vet tomorrow to get his rotten teeth extracted and get a dental cleaning. Is there a way to find out how old my yorkie really is? I'm not sure if the adult teeth are rotten too but I'm scared. Are the baby teeth supposed fall off naturally past a certain age?

Thank you for your help.
Wow you were duped but at least he has a nice home with you - you're happy with him right ? If I were you - I'd be posting all over the net about where you got him from to warn people - you never know what good you'll end up doing for the other dogs they probably still have

all the best

ps - we have a 'breeder review' section here - you may want to post about them
