What is showing like?

You don't have to breed even if you show, yes?
I am a newbie! As new as it gets... lol I have only done a few shows so I have very little information as to finding a mentor and such, since I have been blessed to have several guiding and helping me but I can answer the other questions...

It is so fun! You get to see some of the most beautiful dogs in your breed and then go into the ring with your own and see where or if you place! It is very competive and it takes a lot of work with a yorkie (grooming) but it is very fun! I have learned so much and continue to learn so much from all of the fabulous people I have met thus far.

I am not a breeder, nor at this point do I want to be. I am happy with my male and I am enjoying showing him as a hobby and learning so much! I have thought about breeding but enjoy the competition and work it takes to put your dog into the ring.

Like I said, super new but it has become an addictive hobby for me!
