We used to have an african grey parrot who was quite the character and had a huge vocabulary. We hand fed all three of our birds when they were babies. |
Thanks for this info!
I have been emailing today with a lady who is rehoming a 4 year old blue and gold macaw around here. She seems to rescue them and find them homes. This particular one lost her loved ones and has been moved around a bit. She says shes pretty friendly and loves to have body rubs.
I'm going to talk with her more and maybe meet before hand. I told the lady if I do decide I would like to come meet her over the next couple weeks to see how she takes to us before we take her. She has plucked in the past.
