Love this thread. I just started with a bell also. Copper goes out a sliding glass door. I made his bell from a large plastic cat play ball. It cost me a dollar for two at the Dollar Tree. I threaded 3/4 inch ribbon through it and hung it from a cup hook I put in the wall beside the door. In one day, Copper got "ring the bell" when I pointed to it. He will ring it on command. And then I open the door. A couple of times he has rung it and looked at me. I let him out. I'm not sure we have made the total connection with potty everytime, but we are off to a great start. It has only been a week!
I had heard yorkies weren't the sharpest, but I think learning the command in such a short time is pretty good. We'll see about the potty connection!!!
