You state that you got him from a kennel with soooo many dogs, I assume why he needed saving was that it was not a great place. If it was not a great place, he could be a mixed breed. There are some yorkie pups that may have some hair particles that will remain on shirts and beeding depending on their coat type, especially when they are a pup. It also could be his diet as well and not getting enough nutrients. There really are many things that contribute to this. If you comb his coat - this will help. And then time will let you know what tyoe of coat he will have.
My question is that you have had a litter already (back in late Jan.) and have other yorkies. Do you plan to breed this one? If was from a bad place, probably best to not use him for breeding. He is better to have neutered and just loved.
His coat - it could be a wirery coat or could be a slow growing coat, it may or might not improve as he grows older.
Since he is only 4 months - he is going to be still black and tan in color - he has not gone through the color change yet to the blue or silver. If you look under his coat near his shoulder you will probably see him break there soon. Sounds like you have a lot more research to be doing first, before breeding. |
