We have a blue and gold macaw and an amazon. My macaw rarely bites but if she does it's more of a nip than a bite. The amazon is another story. I can't even handle her any longer but my husband can. Some birds take to one person in the household and they're the only person the bird will tolerate.
We used to have an african grey parrot who was quite the character and had a huge vocabulary. We hand fed all three of our birds when they were babies. |
