They sure are gorgeous! It's been my dream to get one for a long time. We've had my green cheek for two years now and he is so sweet. I've taught him to dance and bob his head. He even says a few words. He is such a joy. I really love parrots.
I've been bit by an amazon and it really wasn't "that" hard. It didn't hurt but he did draw a little bit of blood. I guess it's just a chance you take owning a large parrot. Although I've read the smaller ones are more nippy then large ones. Just gotta know how to handle them and it's always on their terms and what they are comfortable with. |
