Yes if you don't want to have the crate in the bed with you or on the night stand next to you I would suggest just covering it up with a blanket. I do that in the mornings when I shower so he won't cry and he's so little that I don't want him roaming my apartment It's made a HUGE difference. Just lay with your pup til he falls asleep then lightly cover up his crate and he should sleep soundly til the morning. He'll get in a routine in no time!
