Its not impossible.
I would certainly do this if it is an option at the time. Again the OP is just an option. I'd much rather have an apartment with a roommate, or get into my absolutely DREAM college out-of-state that does indeed except pets.

However if this is not possible, it seems it would be best for him to go live with my friend.

I actually mentioned that I will more than likely be going to community college for the first year or two on the 1st page I believe.

Again this is just an option, there are many ways this could go. Depends where I go and for how long, etc.

I was thinking of this! I was also thinking of dogs with Co-Owners. Alot of them travel on and off from place to place from a very young age.
