Its because the floor is usually a few degrees cooler for them until the floor absorbs their body heat and then they start moving around. I was thinking of buying that cooling gel pad bed thing. Its supposed to be cool for them and since Maxi cant take this humidity and heat anymore I was thinking of trying it.
