I'm a firm believer in collars and my 3 wear theirs all the time. What kind of collar are you using? It seems so strange to me that there would be so much drama over wearing a collar. When mine were puppies I used the thinnest adjustable collar I could find with a bell.

A couple of observations~you should never pin a dog for control. This will only cause issues as they get older and it might even turn to aggression. Instead ignore the bad and praise/reward the good.

I would also suggest to make sure the collar is snug enough not to catch on anything. Wait until she is tired and slip it on her. If she does start to act up just ignore her and eventually she will stop~walk away and ignore her reaction. Also, it is not advisable to use her collar for walks because of collapsed trachea issues with the breed. My suggestion would be to use a harness when she is old enough to take out in public for walks. Right now she is not fully vaccinated and you would not be taking her for walks anyway.

I'm a chicken with nail clipping so I really don't have any suggestions other than to ask the vet to do it for you. At this point you are visiting the vet ever few weeks for puppy well visits and they will do it for free~well at least mine will.

While you are at it you might as well start working with grooming with your wild child. Since grooming will be a lifelong part of a Yorkies life it is very important to get her use to being touched. While she is quiet touch her all over her body. Paying attention to her feet, tummy, face and ear. You can then work brushing into you "touch time".

Good luck with your baby.
