I clean my dogs' ears every time they have a bath. I use Biogroom Ear cleaner and I just put a little in their ears and they shake their heads which helps the excess solution along with wax and gunk to come out. The ear cleaner products also usually help to dry any water that may have gotten into the ear during bathing so that is the main reason I always use a little. It works for us
