My daughter took one when he was 7 weeks and he still looked like a yorkie, just like the rest of the litter. My female did not get out to get with any other male. So can someone tell me what happend. The other 3 pups are real small and this one is huge.
This happens often. Somewhere down the line one of his relatives is bigger and the gene showed up in this puppy. That's why it helps to know a few generations back so you can be aware of what might show up. Just knowing the parents and grandparents isn't enough, you have to go a little further back at times.

I had a litter a few months ago with the same results. 3 puppies all together. 2 of them haven't even made 4lbs yet and will only be 5lbs full grown. But one is 7lbs already, he is huge compared to his sisters.
