I'm on the same band with each girl since I bought the package a couple weeks ago. It's what I use for everyday.

I assume they are elastic, they are a little thick, looked 'wrapped' and have no metal parts, you can see one 'joint'. They have very little stretch, which is why they stay in and last so long, but because they are smooth coated, when you pull straight up on them, grabbing all the loops at once, they will slide right off. Fortunately, the girls lack of opposable thumbs is preventing them from, so far, getting them off each other.

I say 30 because I don't remember how many.
These are what I use! Tara (Bellasmomok) sent me a package of them and they are just amazing. I HIGHLY recommend them. I am able to use them on all 3 of my babies and their hair is all different from one another's.
