I've also read that sometimes a supplier gets a bad batch when normally their kind won't smell.

nancy, i did get one 12" merrick bully and it smelled really bad. Do you get the smaller ones? I've still found merrick wishbones are the most consistent with not smelling, but some dogs can go through those pretty fast. katie would finish one in an evening or two, whereas Uni it takes her months sometimes.
