I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Unfortunately 'fly strike' is quite common in the warm weather. Always make sure your little dogs butts are clean. I had a rabbit many years ago and she had to be put down because of fly strike. It all happens really quickly once the fly has laid its eggs.
